What types of organisations do you partner with?
We work with city municipalities, development donors, UN agencies, impact investors, research institutions, and NGOs. Any organisation aligned with sustainable sanitation, gender equity, or circular economy in Nepal is a potential partner.
How long does a HUB deployment take?
From site selection to operational handover, a standard Aerosan HUB deployment takes between 4–7 months. This includes site assessment, civil works, IoT installation, bio-digester commissioning, and operator training.
What MHM facilities are included in each HUB?
Every HUB includes sanitary product vending machines, hygienic disposal units, privacy screens, clean changing space, and a dedicated female section with secure entry and enhanced lighting — all MHM-compliant as standard.
Does Aerosan require government funding to operate?
No. Each HUB generates operational surplus from five revenue streams — user fees, biogas sales, organic fertilizer, advertising, and training licences. Government or donor support may fund initial construction but is not required for ongoing operations.
Can Aerosan scale beyond Kathmandu?
Yes. The HUB model is designed to be replicable across Nepal and scalable to other South Asian cities. We are actively seeking municipal and donor partners for expansion into Pokhara, Biratnagar, and Lalitpur in the near term.
